HOORAY!!! Spring has arrived!! And in full force, might I add :) While the amount of pollen that has transformed my truck from silver to green is atrocious, the longer days, warmer weather, and constant sunlight is enough to make my heart skip a few beats!
So I've been having trouble deciding what this post should be about since, in my opinion, my life is pretty "routine" right now. I guess I can give a little update on the new job for starters. It's probably a repeat of information for most of you, but for those of you who haven't talked to/seen me recently...
I. LOVE. IT.
End of story. My coworkers are fabulous, the 3-day weekends are amazing, the diagnoses are varied and challenging, I'm learning a TON and the opportunities to grow are endless, the "freedom" is so...freeing, everyone is super friendly and helpful, the benefits are wonderful...do you get the picture?? I know I've only been there for a month, but unless something tragic happens, I think I'll be there for a while.
I was able to meet up with my PT "family" last weekend and we had a great time catching up. I miss seeing those girls every single day but am so incredibly glad that our bonds were strong enough to carry us beyond graduation. True friendship is definitely a wonderful blessing. I'm a HUGE believer that even when you're married you still have to make time for the "girls." Here's a picture of us right before graduation last year...I can't believe it's almost been a year - time has FLOWN by! (Sorry Blythe...you look a little sleepy)
I honestly think that's it. Crazy, huh? We have one more weekend trip home planned, and then I think we're going to try to stay up here in SC for a while...visitors WELCOME! The drive home, although relatively short (~2 hours), gets old after a while. Don't get me wrong: I truly appreciate the fact that we are close enough to make the drive for a weekend trip (I'm sure once babies enter the picture "weekend getaways" will take on another meaning), but I would love to spend some time at home where the farthest place I need to drive for the weekend is the grocery store.
Hopefully something exciting will happen, or I'll have some really great insight soon so that my posts may be more entertaining!
